We know, you might be either living in Israel, planning your next visit to the Land of Milk and Honey, or maybe considering the possibility of moving to the land of our patriarchs. Whatever your personal case is, at some point you’ll need the recommendations we are now giving you regarding activities to do with young kids around Israel. Get ready, grab a scrapbook and take notes.

Up north: Great activities for kids near the Galil

There are many great things to do with your kids in the north of Israel. From the great and cool places around our beloved Kinneret to the wonderful secret passages of magical Rosh Pina, you will be able to enjoy a phenomenal day with your kids if you decide to spend it up north.

One very cool place to visit is the Ein Gev area right on the border of the Kinneret. There, you and your kids will be able to try out wonderful restaurants and enjoy a nice good swim in Israel’s most precious body of water.

Not very far from there, you can park your car and enjoy a family trek near the Hula Valley and a nice dinner in Rosh Pinna.

If you are looking for something more quiet and relaxed, Haifa is always a great option! You can enjoy a day-trip to the Stella Maris, or a nice walk during sunset on the “Yafe Nof” promenade.

All of these places and activities are kid-friendly, have bathrooms close by, and a nice place to eat very, very near.

Central Israel: Roller Coasters and the Ariel Sharon Park

The Ariel Sharon Park is an environmental park that used to be the biggest waste dump in the area. After a public convention for innovative ideas to turn this place into something more positive in 2004, they decide to install a recycling company right next to it and to turn what used to be a smelly place into one of the most crowded and beautiful places for families in central Israel.

Going here could be a stunning opportunity to talk to your little ones about recycling, global warming, and about taking care of our beloved environment.

Another great option is the extraordinary Luna Park, a great amusement park in Tel Aviv, right next to the gorgeous HaYarkon Park. If you want your kids to just have fun, eat some junk food and enjoy the multiple roller coasters this place can offer them, don’t think twice and just go there! In case you don’t have a car, do not worry! You can get there by train or bus.

The beautiful south of Israel: The winds of the desert and your kids!

Everything about the south is just beautiful.  First of all, we recommend you renting a comfortable car to drive there. On your way there, you’ll be able to stop in the middle of the road to see camels and to have your kids take a picture with them. You’ll also find tourist-oriented Bedouin tents (did you know that a number of different people with different religions live in peace in Israel? Check this out!) where you can stop by, have very sweet tea, and even sleep with your entire family.

Places like the Kibbutz Qetura can offer you guys a phenomenal weekend with lots of activities. A pool, a wonderful and colorful Kabbalat Shabbat service, and amazingly tasty food in the most unique kibbutz style. Everything, in the middle of the Arava desert, has a surprising variety of colors and tons of sand and mountains.
