If you imagine that when you arrive in Israel you’ll only see camels, sand and people praying… well, you are not that wrong, but in some other parts of the country you’ll experience nightlife which easily compares to Miami’s or Vegas’ clubs and bars (and might even surpass them).
If you remember well, a few weeks ago we discussed the best places to have a romantic date in Israel, and we also recommended you some very cool places to visit in Tel Aviv if you only have 48 hours to walk around, but this time we want to take our recommendations one step further and talk about the best places to have fun in the Telavivian night.
Are you ready? First of all, take a nap! When going out in the White City, you’ll want to stay awake for longer than what you are used to.
Let’s learn some Hebrew before we go out
Before we go directly into the list of cool places to have fun in Tel Aviv, let’s teach you some Hebrew words you might want to know when going out to enjoy the Tel Aviv nightlife.
Shots: Shots in Hebrew is צ׳ייסר (pronounced: chaser), and you have a variety of options for this small but strong sort of drink. If you want to go full middle eastern, we recommend you to try one with Arak, but we don’t take responsibility for the potential consequences.
Bar: Easy. Bar in Hebrew is בר (pronounced: bar). Just like in English, and Spanish. In Tel Aviv you’ll find hundreds of them, but if you want the name of a very cool one, we can definitely recommend both “Dizzy Frishdon” and “Zina”. Both of them really close to each other and with a very cool vibe.
Club / Discotheque: In Hebrew, club is called a מועדון (pronounced: moh-ah-don), and even though most of them are full of very young people, there are still very fun and cool places to go to. If you are looking for a place for people a bit older, and still super fun, we can mention a place called “Radio”, located just a block away from the amazing Rothschild Boulevard. If you want to have a crazy night, Radio might be the ideal place for you to start from.
Cocktail: Just like the word “Bar”, cocktail in Hebrew is קוקטייל, and it is pronounced in the exact same way you pronounce it in English. In case you are looking for a great קוקטייל בר in Tel Aviv, you’ll have hundreds of options, but we highly recommend a place called “Bell Boy”, an extraordinary venue called “Room Service” (very close to the sea as well), and an extraordinary new place named “Concierge”. All of them are fun, with amazing vibes and delicious (but a bit expensive) cocktails.
