Biblical Hebrew Teacher

A Few Words About Me

Haim teaches biblical Hebrew and the bi-monthly biblical webinar for French speakers. For him, teaching Hebrew is a vocation. He also translates the learning materials into French and manages the Biblical Hebrew Blog at the Israeli Institute of Biblical Studies. He looks forward to each class as a family and community experience and is committed to helping students attain their full potential.

Education

Haïm holds a B.A. in Modern Hebrew from the Paris Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) and a diploma of Biblical Hebrew from the Catholic Institute of Paris (ICP).

Professional Experience

Haïm is dedicated to teaching the Bible, the history of Israel, and its spirituality. As part of the initiative of the Jewish Agency to integrate members of the Ethiopian and French communities, Haïm is involved in strengthening the Jewish identity of the new Olim (French-speaking and Ethiopian immigrants) by promoting the ideas and ethical outlook of the Bible and Hebrew wisdom. Haïm contributes to the magazine “Israël Magazine”. In his articles he introduces Israel’s written and oral traditions on current ethical issues. He is the author of “Le Secret de la Pérennité d’Israël” (“The Secret behind the Continuance of Israel”), where he advocates dialogue and environmental concern and holds out hope that we will yet soon see a better world built on tolerance, love and dignity, Israel’s eternal and multi-millennial values.
