Francois T. de Villiers, M.A
A Few Words About Me
It is when a student grasps the biblical Hebrew language that the rich myriad of meaning contained in the Hebrew Bible is unlocked. For Francois, this is his ultimate purpose in life. Francois lives in Germiston, South Africa, has been married for 11 years, and has two children.
Francois completed his theological studies at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2002, he focused his master’s dissertation on emotional expressions in Biblical Hebrew and text criticism of the Book of Job. Later, in 2012, he completed a high school teaching diploma.
Francois has taught Biblical Hebrew to graduate and postgraduate students as a student tutor at the Department of Old and New Testament Studies at the University of Stellenbosch for 4 years. He has been teaching Biblical Hebrew, levels A to D, at the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies since 2009. He also teaches Art, Life Skills, English and Religion Studies at both primary and high-school levels in South Africa.
