Syllabus Summary

After only ten weeks, speaking Hebrew will feel smoother and more natural. From connecting ideas to practicing persuasion, your spoken language skills will develop and strengthen. By the end of the course, you will present a chosen topic for 3-5 minutes and confidently answer questions.

  • 1. Getting to Know Each Other

    An introductory session focused on connection and confidence. Students get to know each other through games and engaging speaking activities, sharing about themselves in a relaxed and supportive environment.

  • 2. Describing a Process

    Explaining how to do something such as a routine, recipe, or habit. Using sequence markers like first, then, after that.

  • 3. Expressing Opinions

    Saying what you think using phrases like I think, in my opinion, for me. Learning how to agree and disagree.

  • 4. Explaining Why

    Using because, the reason is, due to. Connecting ideas logically.

  • 5. Comparing and Preferring

    Using more, less, better, the most. Holding simple discussions and expressing preferences.

  • 6. Talking About Meaningful Experiences

    Describing a strong or important experience. Adding emotional depth.

  • 7. Giving Recommendations

    Using forms like you should and I recommend. Practicing practical, social language.

  • 8. Describing People in Depth

    Talking about personality, traits, and impact. Moving beyond basic descriptions.

  • 9. Introducing a Topic I Care About

    Presenting a hobby or area of interest. First step toward short talks.

  • 10. Review

    Review of storytelling, expressing opinions with reasons, and describing processes. Short structured talk of one to two minutes.

  • 11. Structuring a Short Talk

    Learning how to organize ideas with an opening, body, and conclusion.

  • 12. Connecting Ideas

    Using connectors such as on the one hand, on the other hand, also, and for example.

  • 13. Talking About Culture or General Topics

    Discussing topics like food, music, countries, and lifestyle.

  • 14. Explaining Complex Ideas Simply

    Learning to simplify ideas using phrases like in simple words.

  • 15. Expressing Complex Opinions

    Presenting balanced ideas using structures like on the one hand, but on the other hand.

  • 16. Telling a Story with a Message

    Going beyond what happened and explaining why it matters.

  • 17. Persuasion

    Explaining why something is a good or bad idea. Developing a convincing tone.

  • 18. Handling Questions

    Responding to questions about what was said.

  • 19. Free Talk Practice

    Giving a two to four minute talk on a personal topic.

  • 20. Final Unit

    Giving a full short talk of three to five minutes. Answering questions and receiving feedback on clarity, structure, fluency, and confidence.

    We teach live classes online: a teacher and a small group of students meet once a week. We use video conference technology that allows live student-teacher interaction. You can fully participate in the lesson by using the microphone or the chat box.

  • What if I miss a lesson?

    Don’t worry! All the live lessons are also recorded and available on-demand. You can review them at any time.

  • What qualifications do your teachers have?

    All our teachers have a teaching certificate and are approved by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. They are all native Hebrew speakers, providing students with a well-rounded education in Hebrew language and Israeli culture.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

  • Class time zones — what time do your classes start?

    We teach Sunday to Friday according to your local time zone. You are welcome to check the schedule and assign yourself to a time that’s most suitable for you.

  • Do I need to purchase special equipment for the courses?

    All you need is a working computer with an internet connection and you’re set. We work with Windows and Mac operating systems.

  • How much does it cost?

    The total tuition for the course is $1327.

  • Can I pay in installments?

    Yes, you can pay in monthly installments, depending on the duration of your course.
