Ross Singer

Aramaic Teacher and Course Teacher of "Discovering the Hebrew Bible" and "Discovering the Biblical Land of Israel"

A Few Words About Me

Ross believes that familiarity with the Hebrew language and the geography of the Holy Land allow us to understand the Biblical text on deeper and more powerful levels. He currently teaches students at the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies about biblical text and biblical geography. He is passionate about Jewish history, thought, religion, and culture, and enjoys sharing the grandeur of Jewish civilization in formal and informal contexts. He loves the Hebrew language and the art of rendering Hebrew texts into an English idiom. His vision of Judaism sees worldly wisdom and universal ethics as part and parcel of a life of Torah.
